Camp Minsi Chainsaw Weekend

You may have noticed that there are a growing number of dead and dangerous trees throughout camp. In order to combat any potential issues, our camp ranger will be hosting a "Chainsaw Weekend" on October 22nd and 23rd at Camp Minsi.

If you have your own chainsaw and the skills to use it, we need your assistance! The camp has reserved a cabin for adult volunteers to stay in on Friday evening. Part of the program will include the delivery of the BSA required Chainsaw Safety Course on Friday evening. A Friday evening cracker barrel will be provided along with breakfast and lunch on Saturday. On Saturday morning, volunteers will be broken into teams and sent out to remove previously marked hazard trees throughout camp.

If you are one of the few, the proud, the Lumberjacks of the Minsi Trails, then please contact Todd Heyn at either todd.heyn@scouting.org or 610-465-8576 to reserve your spot.
